Newhaven Fort

This fort built in the 18th century has guarded England from invaders for nearly 200 years. It is a fascinating place for families to experience how troops must have felt guarding the British coast.

Located only 5 minutes walk from our boarding area, our boat voyages compliment visiting Newhaven Fort as we can let you see how the fort would have looked like  from the invaders point of view.

Paradise Park

Paradise Park offers a unique blend of exotic planthouses, a museum of natural history, dinosaurs and the history of Sussex. There is a vast garden and gift centre with terrace café overlooking the gardens. ‘Treasures of Planet Earth’ combines an extensive botanical collection of the world’s flora with fossils, minerals, crystals and the incredible story of dinosaurs. Leisure gardens form a backdrop to the Sussex History Trail and the local history museum is an essential visit for those that enjoy history and nostalgia.
