Sovereign Harbour Marina. Eastbourne. BN25 6JH
The Royal Sovereign Light Tower is unique to England’s south coast. It is a light tower (as opposed to a light house) that was built in the 1970’s to mark the shallow reefs that are a danger to local shipping and it replaced earlier light ships.
Named after the King James I flagship at the Battle of Beachy Head, the “Royal Sovereign”
saw one of the biggest defeats in history of the British Navy.
Our voyage takes
you from Sovereign Harbour to this remarkable structure which can be seen on the
horizon from the seafront.
Our personal guides will explain to you the interesting
history of how it was built and how it works, while allow you time to take photos
of the structure and the marine bird life that inhabit it.
Prices and information are subject to change without prior notice.
We require a minimum of 6 passengers on a sailing for it to proceed.
